Driving Directions

The North Umpqua Retreat is easy to find in Southwest Oregon, near Glide and within an hour of Crater Lake National Park and many waterfalls and trails!

Idleyld Park, OR 97447

From Roseburg, Oregon (milepost 124 along I-5)
• Take Highway 138 (Diamond Lake Boulevard/North Umpqua Highway) East
• Go through the town of Glide, across the river on the "green bridge",
• Past milepost 20 about 3/4 mile, turn right into our driveway
• From our main driveway entrance, veer left to the Guesthouse

From Crater Lake
• Take Highway 138 West about 70 miles, just beyond the Idleyld Store
• Past milepost 21 about 1/8 mile, turn left into our driveway
• From our main driveway entrance, veer left to the Guesthouse

Once you have reserved and your deposit has been confirmed, the house will be prepared so all you need to do is arrive with your own clothing, sporting gear, food, beverages, paper products, and other consumables. Linens, towels, blankets, kitchenware and utensils are all provided.

The Retreat is only 22 miles from Interstate 5, and directly off State Highway 138. We're near the beautiful 33-mile Wild-and-Scenic River corridor, many waterfalls and hiking trails, whitewater rafting, steelhead fishing, and on the way to the Umpqua National Forest, Toketee Falls, the North Umpqua Hydroelectric Project, Lemolo Lake, Diamond Lake, and Crater Lake National Park. To the west are Roseburg, Garden Valley and it's many wineries, and many Pacific Ocean beaches such as Bandon-by-the-Sea, Shore Acres State Park, and Sunset Bay.
