North Umpqua Retreat - Guesthouse

Welcome to the North Umpqua Retreat, a peaceful and private section of the North Umpqua River in Idleyld Park but near Roseburg and Glide, on the Scenic Byway to Crater Lake National Park, near the 31-mile Wild and Scenic River and year-round rafting and steelhead fishing. Only 2 miles from vast public access to the river and the start of the 75-mile North Umpqua Trail. Enjoy hiking, waterfalls, bird watching, and relaxing river views and sounds on the North Umpqua River. Banner photo at the top of the page is the actual river and forest view from the Retreat!

The North Umpqua Retreat Guesthouse is a large cottage-style home fully-furnished and well-appointed for rent at daily, weekly, and monthly rates. It is about 1,200 square ft with 2 queen bedrooms, 1 bathroom, and spacious well-equipped kitchen, dining area, living room, indoor and outdoor patios, and laundry facilities. It has both original and custom touches like refinished wood floors, native wood paneling and window trim, antique lamps, and local but famous artworks. It has a private drive, ample parking (e.g. room for boat and trailer), gas barbeque grill, and spacious yard with a separate outdoor deck that overlooks the private reach of river and quiet old-growth forest beyond.

The Guesthouse is a very clean, smoke-free, pet-free area to preserve the health and peace of the Retreat and everyone visiting it. Rates vary with conditions -- call to inquire.

Once you have reserved and your deposit has been confirmed, the house will be prepared so all you need to do is arrive with your own clothing, personal effects, sporting gear, food, beverages, paper products and other consumables. Linens, towels, blankets, cookware, flatware, glasses, and utensils are all provided.
